1.23am and i'm still awake. talk about striving for large amounts of beauty sleep.
a little cold tonight, what with the rain for the past few days. for people living without air-conditioning, it's a good few days. for people with, it should be good too, cos you get to save electricity by not turning it on.
but we all forget another group of people: those who have air-conditioning and an eskimo in the family. after the eldest sister came back from overseas schooling about a year or so ago, every night the other sister and i have been shivering under blankets which try their best to cover every exposed part of our bodies. and it's really sneaky business to try to increase the temperature of the air-conditioning, cos it beeps with every button pressed. so we have to wait till the big one's asleep first. yes, we cohabit in a small room with little ventilation.
the past few days were spent celebrating birthdays, which were good. the rain was a spoiler of sorts, because as we all know, girls are made of chocolate and melt in the rain. most anyway. so our ambitious 9km trek plan shrank to maybe less than 1km (the birthday girl's request, though we readily agreed) on friday. but we had a good time. company always makes up for all those anti-climax dampers etc etc. :)
and because you are all kaypohs and want to look at photos, here're 2:
elsa's bday! (gayle has elasti-arms)
and fran's psychedelic party. what a riot!
ok that's all folks. night all.
